			<title>Oklahoma Ranked 35th By LAB</title>
			<link>http://obc1voice.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=143&amp;Itemid=69</link>
			<description>
In honor of National Bike month, the League of American Bicyclists has released its latest Bicycle Friendly States Ranking (http://www.bikeleague.org/programs/bicyclefriendlyamerica/bicyclefriendlystate/). In the fifth annual assessment, Oklahoma achieved a 35th place ranking nationally.

Four years ago Oklahoma was ranked 48th in bicycle friendliness. Oklahoma&amp;rsquo;s bicyclists, along with state agencies and other groups set the goal of improving Oklahoma&amp;rsquo;s ranking. &amp;ldquo;In 2011 we ranked 43th,&amp;rdquo; said Oklahoma Bike Summit Chairman Kevin Mussett, Stillwater. &amp;ldquo;Jumping 8 places to 35th in one year is the result of a lot of hard work by bicyclists, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, and the Legislature, all working together,&amp;rdquo; Mussett said.
